What a painful commemoration.<br \/>\nA birthday is festive, colorful and joyful.<br \/>\nBut I only have pain multiplied by these 24 months without you.<br \/>\nEver since your eyes closed, every time I wake up, I relive your last look like a dagger in my heart.<br \/>\nThat look of fear, distress and even dread will follow me forever.<br \/>\nYou who absolutely wanted to live, to LIVE, to LIVE &#8230;despite all the horrors you lived through for 33 days &#8230;..you wanted so much to exist and still breathe !!!!!!!<br \/>\nDespite your will, your body, so bruised from those battles, decided otherwise.<br \/>\nMy immense powerlessness in the face of your suffering and your departure, I try to transform it through your foundation.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s still so little satisfaction compared to the torment of your absence, but you&#8217;d be proud of the results the foundation brings.<br \/>\nHow proud you&#8217;d be to see all those people donating to help your foundation grow.<br \/>\nSo in your place, I&#8217;d like to thank all those people who continue to make you LIVE through the eyes of those who receive optical devices in hospitals and wheelchairs for disabled sports.<br \/>\nThank you! thank you! thank you! for still being here after 2 years! today is also your birthday! thank you!<br \/>\nNadine<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The gentle gaze of a young Nicolas.
