LILLE AND CALL FOR HANDISPORT

On January 26, I had the privilege of presenting an optical device to the Roger Salengro Hospital in Lille, a moment of particular significance for two reasons. Firstly, Dr. Anne-Frédérique Dalmas, a specialist in hyperthermia, practises there (she was the one who guided those in charge at Lyon’s Croix Rousse hospital by telephone when my son was hospitalized there), and also because it was one of Nicolas’ dear friends, Bruno Vliegen, nicknamed “nounours”, who had the honor of handing over the device. His presence added a very special dimension to the event. I would like to thank him most sincerely for his participation.

As you know, the Nicolas Gigot Foundation helps purchase optical computers for hospitals and provides material support for disabled athletes. To this end, we have already donated two handirugby chairs: one to the Dahus d’Arbent (France) and the other to Geoffrey Dath at the Royal Club de la Hulpe.

This year, we are proposing a €10,000 grant to purchase equipment for disabled sports. We therefore invite you to contact us and tell us about your needs, so that we can select one or more clubs (depending on the amounts required) to support them in acquiring this equipment. The other requests will be kept for future operations.

I look forward to receiving your suggestions and thank you in advance for your cooperation.
